Semifinals Week 1: January 16, 2024

Contest Rules:

Duration: 6-week semifinals, followed by a 7th-week final.

Participants:Total 12 contestants per week.

Performances: 2 songs or up to a 15-minute set.

Eligible Acts: Songwriters, duos, and solos.
Performance Guidelines
Instruments:

No amplifiers or pre-recorded tracks allowed.
Stage Setup:

Equipped with 2 microphones, 2 direct boxes, and 1 baby grand piano.
Judging
Judges:

3 guest judges per week.

Judges may perform a song at the start of the show but cannot compete in the contest.
Selection Process:

8 pre-sign-up spots.

4 on-call spots available on the day of the show.

The order of performances drawn on the day; must be present when called or face disqualification.

Contestants can sign up for one semifinal spot only.
Weekly Contest Progression:

2 winners each week advance to the finals, plus 1 alternate in case of dropouts.
